You can request access to or correction of your data at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer. This policy is effective March 2026 and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy applies to all personal and sensitive information collected by Bradfield International Real Estate in relation to clients, customers, personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders. It covers all methods of information handling, including digital, physical, and verbal communications.
Bradfield International Real Estate is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals and ensuring the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personal and sensitive information. The agency will comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and other relevant legislation while fostering trust and transparency in all interactions. Bradfield International Real Estate manages personal information in an open and transparent way through the implementation of practices, procedures and systems outlined in this policy, ensuring compliance with the APPs and any binding registered APP code, and providing suitable procedures for personnel to deal with related inquiries and complaints.
Bradfield International Real Estate complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) including the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as outlined in the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 (Cth). This policy is also designed to maintain requirements under the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017 (Cth), the Information Privacy Act 2014 (ACT), and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).
Bradfield International Real Estate collects your personal information primarily for the purpose of providing real estate services to our clients and for related marketing activities. This may include activities connected to the sale, purchase, leasing, and management of properties, and the promotion of our services. We may also use your personal information for secondary purposes that are directly related to the primary purpose, where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. When we collect personal information, we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain why we are collecting it and how we intend to use it. Where possible, we will give you the option of interacting with us anonymously. We will only collect your sensitive information if you have provided us with consent to do so. You may choose to unsubscribe from our marketing or mailing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
You are not required to provide us with your personal information; however, if you choose not to, we may be unable to provide you with certain services, information, or access to property inspections under our management or control.
We collect personal information to provide you with the products and services you have requested, to manage our business relationship with you, and to comply with our contractual and legal obligations. This includes acting as an agent for buying, selling, leasing, and managing properties or strata complexes; facilitating property inspections, open homes, and private viewings; assessing tenancy or lease applications including reference and background checks; preparing, executing, and managing agency agreements, contracts for sale, and lease documents; processing payments, deposits, bonds, and refunds; managing and coordinating property maintenance, repairs, and contractor services; communicating with property owners, buyers, tenants, vendors, and other parties; liaising with solicitors, conveyancers, valuers, financial institutions, and mortgage brokers; completing the NSW Fair Trading Proof of Identity form and verifying ownership; complying with our obligations under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 (NSW); meeting Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) obligations including identity verification and reporting; providing market updates, newsletters, invitations, and property information; conducting surveys, feedback requests, and service improvement initiatives; internal administration, record-keeping, accounting, and compliance auditing; training, quality assurance, and supervision of staff and contractors; and using de-identified data for business analytics, market research, and reporting purposes.
Bradfield International Real Estate may collect: contact information (name, address, phone number, email); occupation; next of kin; identification information (driver's licence, passport details); financial information (bank account details, income); rental and employment references; property information; sensitive information such as credit worthiness; and other relevant information including marital status, family details, and employment history.
We only use your personal information for the purpose for which it was provided, or related purposes you would reasonably expect, or as permitted or required by law. Internally, this includes assisting you with purchasing, leasing or managing property; responding to your enquiries and feedback; informing you of properties for sale, lease, or inspection; reporting to vendors or owners of properties you may have inspected or enquired about; providing marketing information; and performing general administration or management functions. We may disclose your personal information to related companies, service providers, contractors, business partners, and other parties involved in a transaction, but only where you have consented, where you would reasonably expect such disclosure, where we are authorised or required by legislation to do so, or if an urgent health or threat-to-life emergency arises. We may use the information to contact you by phone, email or text.
In some cases, we use third-party service providers who are located, or who store information, outside Australia. This may include providers of cloud-based software, data storage, IT support, or customer relationship management systems used in the real estate industry. Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient handles your personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including ensuring that appropriate privacy and security measures are in place through our contracts and service agreements. We currently use Dropbox for file storage, with servers located in the United States, as well as Australia, the European Union, Japan, and the United Kingdom for eligible users. If we engage additional overseas providers in the future, we will notify you and update this policy. We do not use automated systems or artificial intelligence in any decision-making process that would significantly affect your rights or interests.
We may use website analytics tools, including those provided by Google, to understand how people use our website, improve our services, and deliver relevant information or advertising. These tools may use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about your visits, including pages viewed, time spent on the site, device information, and online identifiers such as your IP address. When combined with other data, this may constitute personal information. We use this information to monitor and improve website performance, to provide relevant advertising or marketing information, and to understand user behaviour and preferences. We keep our list of analytics providers and opt-out instructions up to date. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or through YourAdChoices, or by disabling cookies in your browser.
Bradfield International Real Estate takes reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. All personal information is stored in a variety of formats including electronically in databases, in hard copy files, and on personal devices including laptop computers, mobile phones, and other recording devices. We protect your information through physical security of our premises and records, access restrictions to only personnel who need the information to provide services, technical measures including the latest macOS software, Microsoft Authenticator, two-factor authentication, and Microsoft 365 email security, and a dedicated IT service provider for all servers, emails, and domains. When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. Unless legislation requires otherwise, personal information is generally stored in client files for a minimum of 7 years to meet legislative requirements. If you are sending us personal information, it is transmitted at your own risk. You should take necessary steps to protect your information and notify us as soon as practical if you become aware of a security breach. If Bradfield International Real Estate becomes aware of any security breach, an internal process will be immediately commenced in accordance with our Data Breach Response Plan.
It is important to us that your personal information is up to date. Bradfield International Real Estate will take reasonable steps to ensure the information we collect and hold about you is accurate, up-to-date, and complete. You may access the personal information we hold about you and update or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. Please contact us in writing to make a request. If you believe or find that the information we have may not be up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records. We will not charge a fee for access requests but may charge an administrative fee for providing copies. To protect your information, we may require identification before releasing requested data.
If you have an inquiry or complaint relating to our Privacy Policy or compliance with the APPs, please contact us using the details below. You will need to provide us with sufficient details regarding your complaint, as well as any supporting evidence or information. We will refer your inquiry or complaint to our Privacy Officer who will, within a reasonable time, investigate the issue and determine the steps that Bradfield International Real Estate will undertake to resolve any complaints. We will contact you if we require any additional information and will notify you in writing of the response or determination. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise your concerns with the Australian Privacy Commissioner via www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992. If you believe we have breached the APPs or mishandled your personal information, please call us immediately on 02 9000 6939.
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we may notify you using your contact details or by placing a notice on our website at www.bire.com.au. Your continued use of our website or services after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
